Sue Roffey

Sue 3.gifWorking to support children, promote social and emotional learning, develop pro-social behaviour, increase social inclusion and develop relational values in education and the wider community. 

Sue is an educational psychologist, academic and author specialising in social, emotional and behavioural issues. She is Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Western Sydney and Honorary Lecturer at University College, London. Sue works with NAPCAN and is a founder member and Director of Wellbeing Australia. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts - an organisation dedicated to positive and principled social change.

Sue is Director of the Aboriginal Girls Circle - a program for Indigenous young women run under the auspices of NAPCAN. She is also developing the Growing Great Schools project which addresses whole student - whole school wellbeing.

Associates: Bill Hansberry & Ali Palmer

Bill-H-Photo.jpgBill Hansberry is based in Adelaide. SA. He is a teacher, counsellor and change agent for schools. Much of his work is in the field of restorative practices. More information about Bill and testimonials to his work can be found here. Bill is an accredited Circle Solutions Trainer and a welcome addition to the SRA team.

Ali Palmer is based in the Sunshine Coast, Qld. She is a teacher who has been working in the field of Student Wellbeing for many years. She has extensive knowledge and skills in the areas of social emotional learning. Her background in physical education, community education, pastoral care and learning difficulties enables her to make clear links between theory and practice. Ali is currently working as an Education Consultant for Independent Schools Queensland and KidsMatter. She is leading several projects with over 30 regional Queensland schools. Her projects include supporting Indigenous students from remote communities into boarding school settings as well as supporting schools to implement whole school approaches to student and staff wellbeing. Ali is a passionate educator who believes quality teaching and learning is grounded in positive relationships. Ali is a Director of Wellbeing Australia - an organisation committed to the development of caring, inclusive learning communities. Ali is a trained facilitator for the Circle Solutions framework.
